TorMaMe Terms and Conditions
Welcome to TorMaMe. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the TorMaMe website, mobile application, and related services (collectively, the “Platform”). By creating an account, accessing the Platform, or using any TorMaMe service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Platform.
1. About TorMaMe
TorMaMe is a Ghana-focused errand, peer-to-peer delivery, and request-fulfillment platform that enables users to request the purchase and delivery of items and enables eligible users to accept and fulfill such requests.
TorMaMe provides the digital infrastructure for matching, communication, payments, delivery confirmation, and transaction management. TorMaMe is not the manufacturer, seller, or owner of the goods requested through the Platform unless expressly stated otherwise.
2. Eligibility
To use TorMaMe, you must:
- be at least 16 years old;
- have legal capacity to enter into a binding contract;
- provide accurate and complete account information;
- comply with all applicable laws and these Terms.
TorMaMe will require identity verification, including national identification information, to create or maintain an account.
3. Account Registration and Security
You are responsible for:
- maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials;
- all activity that occurs under your account;
- ensuring the information you provide is accurate and current.
You agree not to:
- create more than one account using the same identity where prohibited;
- impersonate another person or entity;
- share your account with another person;
- attempt to bypass any identity, payment, or security controls.
TorMaMe reserves the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or present fraud, safety, or compliance concerns.
4. Identity Verification
TorMaMe will require users to submit national identification details or other verification information. Identity information may be validated, hashed, encrypted, or otherwise processed for security, duplicate-prevention, fraud control, and compliance purposes.
You acknowledge that TorMaMe may deny registration or suspend access where verification cannot be completed or where security concerns arise.
5. Nature of the Service
TorMaMe operates as a technology platform that connects:
- users who request items or errands (“Senders”); and
- users who accept and fulfill those requests (“Buyers” or “Fulfillers”).
TorMaMe does not guarantee that any request will be accepted, completed, or completed within a requested timeframe. Any estimated timing, pricing, or delivery window shown on the Platform is for guidance only.
6. User Roles and Conduct
6.1 Senders
Senders are responsible for:
- submitting accurate item descriptions and location information;
- ensuring requested items are lawful and safe to purchase or transport;
- funding transactions when required;
- being available to receive the delivery and complete confirmation steps.
6.2 Buyers / Fulfillers
Buyers are responsible for:
- only accepting requests they are reasonably able to complete;
- purchasing and delivering requested items in good faith;
- acting lawfully, safely, and respectfully;
- completing deliveries honestly and accurately.
6.3 Prohibited Conduct
Users must not:
- request, buy, sell, transport, or facilitate prohibited, illegal, age-restricted, dangerous, or regulated goods without proper authorization;
- harass, threaten, abuse, or defraud another user;
- use the Platform for money laundering, fraud, or unauthorized commercial activity;
- circumvent TorMaMe’s payment flow or encourage off-platform settlement to avoid fees;
- misuse messaging or calling features.
TorMaMe may remove content, cancel transactions, or suspend access where prohibited conduct is suspected.
7. Requests, Acceptance, and Fulfillment
A request becomes active when submitted through the Platform and, where applicable, payment authorization or funding has been completed.
A request may be made available to eligible users based on location, availability, and other internal criteria. Once a request is accepted, it may be locked to the assigned fulfiller.
TorMaMe will define request states including but not limited to: open, accepted, in progress, delivered pending confirmation, completed, cancelled, expired, or disputed.
8. Pricing, Fees, and Payments
TorMaMe will display estimated or final transaction pricing based on internal pricing models, configured fees, distance, item size, time, service area, or other relevant factors.
By submitting a request, you authorize TorMaMe and its payment partners to charge, hold, receive, or distribute funds as needed to operate the transaction.
Pricing may include:
- item value reimbursement;
- buyer or fulfiller earnings;
- service or platform fees;
- applicable taxes, charges, or adjustments.
TorMaMe may update its pricing logic at any time, but confirmed transactions will be governed by the pricing applicable at the time of the request.
9. Escrow, Payouts, Refunds, and Adjustments
TorMaMe will hold funds temporarily while a request is active. Payouts will be released upon successful delivery confirmation or in accordance with TorMaMe’s internal operational rules.
Refunds, reversals, or adjustments may be issued where:
- a request expires without acceptance;
- a sender cancels under an eligible condition;
- a buyer cancels under an eligible condition;
- the transaction fails, is disputed, or is found to involve misconduct;
- a payment processor reverses or blocks a transaction.
TorMaMe reserves the right to delay payouts, withhold funds, or investigate transactions where fraud, abuse, policy violations, or legal concerns are suspected.
10. Delivery Confirmation and Disputes
TorMaMe will use in-app delivery confirmation methods, including one-time codes or other verification tools, to confirm transaction completion.
A transaction will be treated as completed when TorMaMe receives sufficient evidence of delivery or completion according to its internal processes.
If a dispute arises, TorMaMe will review available records including chat logs, call events, location records, payment records, delivery confirmations, and user-reported information. TorMaMe may take any action it reasonably considers appropriate, including cancellation, refund, partial adjustment, payout hold, or account action.
11. Messaging and In-App Calls
TorMaMe may provide messaging and in-app calling features between users participating in an active transaction.
These features:
- are provided solely for transaction-related communication;
- may be monitored, logged, or reviewed for safety, fraud prevention, compliance, dispute resolution, and service improvement;
- may be restricted, suspended, or removed at any time.
Users must not use communication features for harassment, spam, abuse, unlawful conduct, or attempts to move transactions off-platform.
12. Location Services
TorMaMe may use location information to support matching, fulfillment, delivery tracking, fraud prevention, service optimization, and safety functions.
By using features that rely on location, you consent to TorMaMe processing your location data as described in the Privacy Policy.
13. Prohibited Items and Restricted Use
Users may not request, purchase, transport, or deliver any item that is unlawful, unsafe, prohibited by TorMaMe policy, or restricted by applicable law.
TorMaMe may maintain and update a list of prohibited or restricted items at its discretion. TorMaMe may cancel any request involving such items without liability.
14. Intellectual Property
All rights in the Platform, including software, branding, designs, text, graphics, workflows, logos, and content created by TorMaMe, remain the exclusive property of TorMaMe or its licensors.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, scrape, or exploit any part of the Platform except as expressly permitted by law or by TorMaMe in writing.
15. User Content
You may submit content such as profile information, item descriptions, images, messages, and support communications.
You retain ownership of your content, but you grant TorMaMe a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, adapt, and display such content as needed to operate, secure, improve, and enforce the Platform.
You are solely responsible for the content you submit.
16. Suspension and Termination
TorMaMe may suspend, limit, or terminate your access immediately where it reasonably believes:
- you breached these Terms;
- you engaged in fraud, abuse, or unsafe conduct;
- you created legal, payment, or reputational risk;
- continued access would harm users, TorMaMe, or third parties.
Termination does not remove any rights or obligations accrued before termination.
17. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, TorMaMe disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, availability, accuracy, and non-infringement.
TorMaMe does not guarantee uninterrupted service, flawless performance, or that every request will be accepted or completed.
18. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TorMaMe and its directors, officers, employees, affiliates, contractors, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages, including lost profits, lost data, business interruption, personal loss, or reputational harm arising from or related to the use of the Platform.
Where liability cannot be excluded, TorMaMe’s aggregate liability shall be limited to the total fees actually paid to TorMaMe in relation to the specific transaction giving rise to the claim, or the equivalent of GHS 500, whichever is lower, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
19. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TorMaMe and its affiliates, personnel, and partners from and against claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses arising from:
- your use of the Platform;
- your breach of these Terms;
- your violation of law or third-party rights;
- any transaction, request, delivery, or communication involving your account.
20. Privacy
Your use of the Platform is also governed by the TorMaMe Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
21. Changes to the Terms
TorMaMe may update these Terms from time to time. Where required, TorMaMe will provide notice through the Platform, email, or other reasonable means. Continued use of the Platform after the updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
22. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Platform shall first be addressed through good-faith discussions with TorMaMe. If unresolved, the dispute shall be submitted to the courts of competent jurisdiction in Ghana, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

2. How We Use Personal Data

- process payments, payouts, holds, refunds, and adjustments;
- match users to requests and support delivery operations;
- enable messaging, in-app calling, and notifications;

- monitor safety, enforce our Terms, and detect fraud or abuse;
- improve the Platform, analytics, and service performance;
- comply with legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations.
3. Legal Bases for Processing

TorMaMe does not represent that full payment credentials are stored directly on our systems where a payment partner is used.

- support request creation and fulfillment;
- improve ETA and delivery coordination;
- support fraud prevention and dispute review;
- improve service coverage and performance.
You may be able to control certain location permissions through your device settings, but disabling location services may limit core Platform functionality.
7. Messaging and Calling Data
Where messaging and in-app calling are available, TorMaMe may collect, store, and review communication records, message content, call metadata, timestamps, and related activity for:
- transaction support;
- safety and abuse prevention;
- moderation and policy enforcement;
- dispute resolution;
- system integrity and service improvement.
8. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Our website and related online services may use cookies, analytics tools, and similar technologies to support authentication, preferences, security, performance, and usage insights.
You may control certain cookie preferences through browser settings, subject to technical limitations.
9. Sharing of Information
We may share your information with:
- payment processors and financial partners;
- identity verification and fraud-prevention providers;
- cloud hosting, analytics, communication, and support vendors;
- law enforcement, regulators, courts, or authorities where legally required;
- professional advisers, auditors, insurers, or potential acquirers in connection with business operations;
- other users to the extent necessary to complete a transaction.
We do not sell personal data to third parties for their own independent marketing use.
10. Data Retention

- provide the Platform;
- maintain transaction history and safety records;
- detect and prevent fraud;
- comply with legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory requirements;
- enforce contractual rights and resolve disputes.

Your data may be processed, stored, or accessed in jurisdictions outside your place of residence where our service providers or infrastructure operate. Where this occurs, TorMaMe will take reasonable steps to protect the data in line with applicable requirements.
